Head of State Volodymyr Zelensky stated the need to deal with Hungary's veto, which blocks important decisions of the European Union, in particular on Ukraine.

During a meeting of the European Council, the Ukrainian leader called on the EU to deal with Hungary's veto. In his opinion, the organization should have a way to prevent important decisions from being blocked, the NBN publication reports.
The head of state explained that a certain amount of pressure is needed within the organization so that the European Union can fulfill everything it promised Ukraine, in particular in the matter of negotiations on our country's membership in the EU.
The President called it “anti-European” for the Budapest representative to block decisions that had already been agreed upon or that were important for the entire region. In his opinion, it is unacceptable to veto the EU's efforts to ensure peace and security.
The President believes that the decision-making process in the EU must be faster, more flexible and more efficient if Europe wants to become stronger in global competition.
