A representative of Zelensky's office said on the national telethon that at the end of next month, Trump will have reached 100 days in office, and he still has not been able to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine, writes the NBN publication.
Leshchenko recalled that Finnish President Alexander Stubb, after an unofficial visit to the United States, said that April 20 would be a very convenient date for a truce – three months after Trump’s inauguration and the celebration of Easter.
The official noted that the head of the White House may agree to this date, but the Kremlin dictator is demonstrating a completely different approach and creating obstacles to achieving a ceasefire, which the American politician does not like.
The adviser to the head of the Office of the President noted that in relation to the Russian Federation it is not the rhetoric that needs to be toughened, but rather actions, for example, by introducing sanctions against the aggressor country, which should bring the Russian leader to his senses.
A representative of Zelensky's office added that for the American president this is “a matter of personal political dignity,” so he should move on to more radical actions, given Putin's “deafness.”
As reported, the Western publication stated that the head of the White House is using the situation in Ukraine as a “golden business opportunity.”
