As reported by NBN with reference to Bloomberg material, US President Donald Trump made a statement – he allows for the possibility of reducing customs tariff rates if the leaders of other countries fulfill a certain condition.
Based on Trump's words, the authorities of a country must promise to provide the United States with “something phenomenal” in response to exceptionally “good” actions on the part of the United States (apparently, this refers to the supply of American products).
In addition, the American leader specifically emphasized that the US tariff policy gives Washington a number of advantages in the negotiation process, despite the negative impact on stock markets.
Trump also emphasized that the US administration is constantly receiving requests from other countries that intend to reach an agreement regarding the easing of duties, but these tariffs will be adjusted only after reviewing the points of the deals proposed by the partners.
