KIIS recalled that Leonid Kravchuk won the first presidential elections in Ukraine 32 years ago, gaining almost 62% of the votes among six candidates. 23% of Ukrainians then voted for his opponent Vyacheslav Chernovol. Sociologists have found out who would be chosen as head of state if citizens returned to 1991, NBN reports.

The survey results showed that among current Ukrainians only 13% of respondents would give their votes to Kravchuk, 74% of participants poll would like to see Vyacheslav Chernovol as the first president. 4% of citizens said that they would not vote, and 1% would spoil their ballot.

In terms of those who voted and made their choice, 86% of Ukrainians would choose Chernovol, and 14% &# 8212; Kravchuk. Among those surveyed who actually had the right to vote in 1991, 10% of respondents would give preference to the first president, and 81% — his opponent.
