About the fact that the Russian fleet in the Black Sea moved into a passive phase of action, including minimizing the number of missile attacks on Ukraine, immediately after the removal of the previous commander, writes NBN, referring to the X-account UK Ministry of Defence.

British military intelligence analysts noted that at the beginning of this month, the Grigorovich subclass missile frigate (has on board vertical launch systems for cruise missiles against sea/ground targets) was loaded with ammunition at the new base of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in the port Novorossiysk. Previously, the Russian Federation traditionally provided its fleet with such missiles at its base in Sevastopol. Now, the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation has largely moved its surface ships and submarines away from Sevastopol – to the east, to Novorossiysk.

Thus, the removal of the previous commander The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in March 2024 provoked a decrease in activity, including missiles, of the fleet, which was recorded for the first time since the beginning of the war.

The British Ministry of Defense emphasized – despite the fact that the Black Sea Fleet is almost certainly based in Novorossiysk, seeking to avoid Ukrainian attacks by sea, its infrastructure for maintenance, logistics and weapons control in this port appears to have been optimized for subsequent deployment there “indefinitely.” p>
