About the fact that as a result of the last meeting of people's deputies, who considered the amendments to the above-described document, a number of decisions were made defining groups of Ukrainians liable for military service who are not subject to mobilization, NBN writes, citing a statement by the secretary of this committee, SBU Colonel Roman Kostenko, published by Ukrinform.

According to Kostenko, as a result of the discussion held by the committee today, February 29, exemption from conscription into the Ukrainian army will affect exclusively the following segments of the population of Ukraine:

  • women/men living in prison ;depending on 3 or more minors (under the age of 18 years), with the exception of persons with alimony debts, the total amount of which is the amount of deductions for 3 months;
  • women/men with a child/children (under the age of 18 years), if one of the child/children’s parents has died, been deprived of corresponding rights, been declared missing/missing or declared dead;
  • guardians/trustees/foster parents/parent-educators/foster carers if they support orphans or children deprived of parental care (under the age of 18);
  • family members who include persons with disabilities of the 1st or 2nd group.

We previously wrote about what Venislavsky called the norms of the “mobilization” bill, which will definitely be excluded by the Rada Defense Committee.
