The state financial institution extended the validity period of all payment cards for most of its clients, and it became known whether the procedure for mandatory physical identity verification for displaced pensioners is really necessary.

The fact that the reason for such a decision is the martial law in the country, writes NBN, citing the official page of Oschadbank.
In particular, with the purpose of supporting its own clientele located in ;difficult circumstances against the backdrop of the war, Oschadbank extended the validity period of all payment cards (passes automatically if the deadlines have expired since February 2022), including those that belong to internally displaced persons, immediately until September 30, 2024.
Thus, until September 30 of this year, displaced pensioners do not have to undergo the physical verification procedure, which was previously stated as mandatory. That is, until October, senior citizens will be able to freely:
- pay for goods in stores and supermarkets;
- withdraw cash from ATMs;
- pay for utilities.
