Press Secretary of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine Dmitry Pletenchuk spoke about the situation in the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions. According to him, the invaders are constantly trying to restore their position in these sectors of the front.

Pletenchuk said on the national telethon that the situation in the south of the country has not changed, the occupiers are not giving up attempts to restore their position. Over the past day, the Russian Armed Forces carried out 11 assaults, NBN reports.
According to the speaker of the OK “South”, mostly enemy assaults take place in the Kherson and Zaporozhye directions. The Russians are haunted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper; they are unsuccessfully trying to dislodge the Ukrainian marines from the village of Krynki. The same situation is in Zaporozhye in the village of Rabotino.
A representative of the Southern Defense Forces noted that Putin’s troops in the Kherson region are trying to regain control over the island of Nestryga under the cover of UAVs and artillery, but are forced to move in small groups. The invaders have a big obstacle on their way – the Dnieper River, so they have to use boats. At this moment, due to being in an open area, the Russian army is suffering losses.
Earlier, the press secretary explained the importance of returning control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the island of Nestryga.
