Due to regular attacks by the aggressor country on the critical infrastructure of our country, a significant part of utility companies have been damaged, which urgently require a significant injection of funds for restoration, presumably through a noticeable increase in tariffs for household consumers, and in the near future time.

About to what extent tariffs for utility services will soon increase in Ukraine, writes “NBN”, referring to expert opinion published by the portal “1+1”.
According to the head of the National Commission that carries out state regulation in the fields of energy and utilities, Konstantin Ushchapovsky, an increase in electricity tariffs from 2024, if expected, should be justified, by a maximum of 15 percent, up to 3 hryvnia/kilowatt-hour. However, in accordance with other forecasts, the cost of electricity is likely to increase by 50 percent.
In addition, other utility tariffs will not remain “frozen”:
- “blue fuel” may rise in price in several stages—first to 11–13 hryvnia/cubic meter, and then immediately to 15 hryvnia/cubic meter;
- heat supply/hot water will increase in cost by 30-50 percent, which depends on decisions of local governments;
- water supply/sewage by 50 percent.
