The recent series of drone strikes on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant has significantly increased concerns about the escalation of the already unstable nuclear security situation at Europe's largest nuclear facility located in the front-line zone.

About the fact that at 10 o'clock 35 minutes of this Friday, April 19, another drone attack was recorded on one of the sites of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), writes NBN, referring to the official page of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Based on the words of the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, the above-described UAV strike did not cause damage or casualties. However, such an incident is already the third case of an attack on a training center, documented in recent days.

In addition, Zaporizhia NPP employees succinctly informed the IAEA inspectors located at this facility: today’s kamikaze drone is allegedly “ neutralized,” without disclosing additional circumstances.

Grossi emphasized:

Our presence at the Zaporizhia NPP is more necessary than ever. As I also reported to the UN Security Council, we are approaching a nuclear holocaust. The drone attacks this month were the first clear violation of the 5 specific principles for site protection that I established at the UN Security Council almost a year ago.

We previously wrote about the fact that the General Staff The Armed Forces of Ukraine not long ago warned about the likelihood of a new provocation of invaders at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant.
