Kateryna Sadurska, a freediver from Ukraine, has once again conquered the world's peaks. At international competitions in Dominica, she set a new absolute world record in the discipline of diving without fins, diving to a depth of 82 meters. This achievement surpassed her previous record of 80 meters, set only a month ago at the World Championships, writes WomanEL.
The dive took place in difficult conditions – 10 minutes before the start, heavy rain began, which complicated the preparation. Sadurska was forced to interrupt her first attempt at a depth of 30 meters. However, the next day she dived again, and this time nature “was on her side.” The athlete announced her achievement on November 26 on her Instagram page, where she emphasized that the path to success was difficult, despite the outward ease of her dive. For Sadurska, this is the sixth world record in 2024. Born in Mykolaiv, she trains in Kharkiv and continues to represent Ukraine at world competitions.
