Ukraine has lost an outstanding actor and a true hero – Yakov Tkachenko, known for his roles in the films “Dovbush”, “Chervony” and “The Price of Truth”, reports WomanEL.
Yakov Tkachenko began his acting career more than 20 years ago, gaining popularity thanks to his talented acting in iconic Ukrainian films. However, in February 2022, he changed the theater stage to the battlefield. As part of the territorial defense, the actor defended the country in the first days of the full-scale invasion.
Later, Yakov joined the 128th Brigade of the Territorial Defense, participated in battles in the Donetsk region, and was wounded twice. Despite all the difficulties, he returned to his comrades, demonstrating an indomitable spirit. In 2023, Tkachenko was temporarily demobilized to take care of his sick mother, but soon went to the front again – this time as part of the Third Assault Brigade.
