In addition, the capital's authorities recommend that institutions and organizations that do not operate continuously suspend their work for a minute. Advertising operators are also joining the initiative – reminders about the importance of commemoration will appear on digital media.
The city authorities have joined forces with the public to find the best way for the capital to honor the memory of the defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine, as well as civilians who died during the Russian-Ukrainian war, – said Kyiv City Council deputy Viktoria Mukha.
The Kyiv TV channel and Kyiv FM radio station will continue to broadcast the minute of silence live, and municipal educational institutions will continue to join this initiative.
At the same time, in the event of an air alert, priority will be given to the notification of danger. This decision is intended to make a moment of silence available to all residents of the capital and emphasize the unity of Ukrainians in honoring the memory of the dead.
