Genius of transformation Christian Bale is preparing to star in Maggie Gyllenhaal's remake of The Bride. In the new image, the 50-year-old British Oscar-winning actor looks like a real monster, says WomanEL.
The director herself shared the first photos from the future film. According to Deadine, this will be Gyllenhaal's second feature film. The debut was the film “The Lost Daughter,” which Netflix released in 2021. The film received three Oscar nominations.

The role of the bride will be played by Jessie Buckley (Fargo, Chernobyl). The film also stars Penelope Cruz (Pirates of the Caribbean), Peter Skashgaard (The Price of Truth), Julianne Gough (Dirty Grandpa) and Annette Benning (Naiad).
The film adaptation unfolds set in 1930s Chicago and reimagines the iconic Frankenstein legend. This time the story will focus on Buckley's character.
