Alexey Sereda became a laureate of the annual European Aquatics Awards.
Ukrainian Alexey Sereda became the best diver in 2023 according to European Aquatics.
Our 18-year-old compatriot won the nomination “Best Male Diving Athlete of the Year” at the annual European Aquatics Awards ceremony- 2023.
The winner was chosen by voting. 44% of federation representatives and 41% of fans voted for the young Ukrainian. Alexey was ahead of Briton Anthony Harding and Moritz Wesemann from Germany.

Last year Sereda won gold at the 2023 European Games in Rzeszow in synchronized diving with 10 -meter tower and in team competitions. He also became a silver medalist at the World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka in synchronized diving from a 10-meter platform.
In addition, in the 2023 season, Sereda won four medals at the World Cup stages, including a personal silver ” in the super final of the personal competition from 10 meters.
Note that Sereda was nominated for the title of best diver in Europe for the second time. In 2022, the Ukrainian took second place after the Briton Jack Lafer.
