ArsenalUkrainian Alexander Zinchenko beat Tottenham on the road in the central match of the 35th round of the English Premier League (EPL) – 2:3.
In the first half, Mikel Arteta's team hit the goal of their principal opponent three times. In the 15th minute, Spurs midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg headed into his own goal after Martin Odegaard's cross from a corner.
In the 22nd minute, the hosts could have equalized the score, but Micky van de Ven's goal was canceled due to offside after viewing the video replay (VAR).
In the 27th minute, the Gunners scored for the second time. Bukayo Saka received a diagonal from Kai Havertz, moved into the center and accurately shot into the far corner.
In the 38th minute, Arsenal scored the third goal . Havertz shot into goal from a few meters with a header from Declan Rice's corner.
In the second half, Angelos Postecoglou's men were almost able to stage a comeback. In the 64th minute, Gunners goalkeeper David Raya made a mistake with a pass from his own goal and Spurs defender Christian Romero immediately punished him for this by sending the ball into the net.
In the 87th minute, Tottenham came close to Arsenal in the score. Rice kicked the opponent in his own penalty area instead of the ball – the referee reviewed the episode on VAR and awarded a penalty. The penalty kick was confidently converted by Son Heung Min.
At the end of the game, Spurs attacked in large numbers in the hope of scoring a third goal and avoiding defeat, but Arsenal held back the pressure and got important three points.

Thanks to this victory, Arsenal (80 points) increased its lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League standings to four points, but Pep Guardiola's team played two matches less. Tottenham (60 points) remained in fifth position and continues to fight with Aston Villa for entry into the Champions League next season.
In the next round of the Premier League, Arteta's team will host Bournemouth on May 4, Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarny, and the Spurs will play away on May 2 the rescheduled match of the 26th round of the English Championship against Chelsea with Ukrainian winger Mikhail Mudrik.
