This is how the people of Kiev condemned the participation of the Serbian club in the tournament in Moscow.
Dynamo Kiev refused official bilateral events with the Serbian Partizan before the first match of the second round of qualifying for the Champions League season 2024/25.
This was reported on the official website of the “white-blues”.
The reason for this decision of the Ukrainian club was the participation of “Partizan” in a friendly tournament in Moscow, which took place in early July this year.
“Ukraine today is going through the most difficult period of its history due to a bloody war with a terrorist country. That is why Dynamo condemns everyone who helps Russia, in particular, supports Russian sports. Especially when this is done by representatives of European countries that support Ukraine.
Considering this and Partizan's recent participation in competitions in Russia, we have decided to cancel all bilateral events between the clubs that were scheduled to take place in the context of the match. We also decided to refuse the presence of away fans at the stadiums.
At the same time, despite the results of the draw, our club is part of the big UEFA family, we respect world football principles and traditions, respect our opponents and respect fair-play principle on and off the field.
We are ready to compete and defeat any opponent in sports wrestling. Thus, we prove the Europeanness and openness of our country and Ukrainian sports,” says the statement of the vice-champion of Ukraine.
The match “Dynamo” – “Partizan” will take place on Tuesday, July 23. Starts at 21 :00 Kiev time.
Due to the full-scale war that the Russian occupiers continue to wage against Ukraine, the venue for the nominally home match for the “white-blues” will be Arena Lublin in Lublin, Poland.
An online video broadcast of the match “Dynamo” – “Partizan” is available on our website.
The return match between “Dynamo” and “Partizan” will take place on Wednesday, July 31 , in Belgrade, Serbia. The starting whistle will sound at 21:00 Kiev time.
Note that for safety reasons, both matches between Dynamo and Partizan will take place without away fans in the stadiums.
The winner of the two-game confrontation “Dynamo” – “Partizan” in the third round of Champions League qualifying will fight with the Scottish “Rangers”, and the loser in the third round of Europa League qualifying will meet with the one who loses in the pair “Lugano” (Switzerland) – ” Fenerbahce” (Turkey).
