Barcelona won a comeback away from home against Rayo Vallecano in the 3rd round of the Spanish La Ligaseason 2024/25. The match at the Estadio de Vallecas in Madrid ended with a score of 1:2.
Already in the 9th minute of the match, Unai Lopez put the hosts ahead. The Catalans failed to recoup before the break, but in the second half, Hansi Flick's men made a comeback.
In the 60th minute, Pedri equalized the score in the match, assisted by Rafinha. In the 71st minute, Robert Lewandowski scored the second goal for the “blue garnets”, but after reviewing the video replay (VAR), it was canceled due to a violation of the rules.
And yet, Barcelona managed to snatch victory. In the 82nd minute, the decisive goal was scored by the team's star newcomer Dani Olmo, for whom this was his debut match for the Blaugrana. The 17-year-old Lamin Yamal scored the assist.
It should be noted that the hosts' squad did not include former Real Madrid player James Rodriguez, who recently moved to Rayo Vallecano.
