Hansi Flick's team continues to go without losing any points in the current Spanish championship.
"Barcelona" thrashed "Villarreal" away in the match of the "6th round" of the Spanish La Liga of the 2024/25 season. The match at the Estadio de la Cerámica ended with a score of 1:5.
The hosts could have opened the scoring at the start of the match, but Eremi Pino's goal was disallowed due to offside after a video replay (VAR) review.
In the 20th minute, Robert Lewandowski put the Catalans ahead. The Polish forward did not stop there and in the 35th minute he doubled the visitors' advantage, scoring a brace.
In the 38th minute, the “Yellow Submarine” reduced the gap thanks to the efforts of Ayoze Perez, so the teams went into the break with a minimal advantage for the “blue garnets”.
In the second half, only Barcelona players scored. First, Pablo Torre scored in the 58th minute. Then, in the 66th minute, Lewandowski had a great opportunity to score a hat-trick, but missed the penalty.
