Former football player and coach, ex-FFU president Anatoliy Konkov has died at the age of 75.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).
Konkov is known for his performances for Shakhtar Donetsk (1968-1974) and Dynamo Kyiv. (1975-1981). He also played for Avangard Kramatorsk (1965-1967) and the USSR national team (1971-1978).
As part of Dynamo, Anatoly became the USSR champion four times, won the USSR Cup, the Cup Winners' Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup. With the USSR national team, he won the silver medal at the 1972 European Championship and the bronze medal at the 1976 Olympics.
Konkov began his coaching career in 1982. He headed Tavria, Shakhtar, Zenit, SK Nikolaev, Stal (Alchevsk), and Inter (Baku). He also worked with the youth (1993) and national (1995) teams of Ukraine.
Anatoly also held the position of sports director of Alchevsk “Stal” (2008-2012).
From September 2012 to January 2015, Konkov was the president of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU).
