The winners and runners-up in the Division A groups will compete for tickets to the final stage of the tournament.
The group stage of the 2024/25 Nations League takes place from September to November 2024.
54 European teams are taking part in it. The Russian team was not allowed to participate in the tournament due to a full-scale war of conquest against Ukraine.
Under the new Nations League format, the winners and runners-up of the elite Division A groups advance to the quarter-finals, where they will play home and away play-offs to determine the four teams that will compete for the trophy in the final stage.
As of now, the names of six of the eight quarter-finalists of the tournament are already known. These are Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands and Spain.
Two more quarter-finalists will be determined based on the results of the last round matches, which will take place on November 17-19.
Note that the Ukrainian national teamis holding the current Nations League draw in Division B. The opponents of Sergei Rebrov's team in the group are the Czech Republic, Albania and Georgia.
Before the last round, the Ukrainian team is in last place in Group B1 with 5 points. The Czech Republic is in the lead (8 points). Georgia and Albania are in second and third positions, respectively, with 7 points each.
The “blue-yellows” have already lost their chances for first place and direct access to Division A, but continue to fight for second place and a spot in the playoffs for the right to move up a class.
To do this, Ukraine needs to beat Albania in the final round and for the Czech Republic not to lose to Georgia in the parallel match. A defeat to the Albanians will definitely mean relegation to Division C for our team. Both matches will take place on Tuesday, November 19, and will begin at 21:45 Kyiv time.
