"Shakhtar" scored first, but then conceded five goals.
Donetsk “Shakhtar” lost to Munich “Bayern” in the match of the sixth round of the main stage of the Champions League of the 2024/25 season. The match, nominally home for the “miners” at the “Veltins-Arena” in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, ended with a score of 1:5.
“Shakhtar” opened the scoring in the 5th minute of the match. Alexander Zubkov made a through ball to Kevin, who entered the penalty area and accurately shot into the far corner.
The German club quickly equalized. In the 11th minute, Konrad Laimer picked up the ball in the Donetsk penalty area and made a powerful shot into the near “nine”.
At the end of the first half, Shakhtar created a super moment. During a counterattack in the 44th minute, Kevin passed the ball into the Munich penalty area and made an excellent pass into the center to Georgiy Sudakov, but he missed the goal.
Vincent Kompany's men immediately punished the Ukrainian champion for such wastefulness. In the 45th minute, Marlon Gomez made a mistake near his own goal, after which Thomas Müller made an accurate strike, taking advantage of an assist from Jamal Musiala.
In the 66th minute, Bayern could have increased their advantage. Musiala finished off a corner kick at the far post, but the referee cancelled the goal due to the fact that before that, Mathis Thel blocked the goalkeeper of the “orange and blacks” Dmytro Riznyk.
However, the Munich club soon scored a third goal. In the 70th minute, Michael Oliseh converted a penalty awarded for Shakhtar defender Alaa Gram jumping at Sasha Boe's feet in his own penalty area.
Bayern did not stop there. In the 87th minute, a breakdown in Shakhtar's defense ended with Musiala shooting into Riznyk's goal.
The end of this match was put in the 90+3rd minute, when Olissescored a brace, scoring after a solo run.
