Angelina played in the main draw of the Australian Open for the fourth time in a row. Her personal record remains the third round of the Australian major in 2023.
Earlier, Ukrainians Yulia Starodubtseva and Daria Snigur also failed to overcome the opening round of the Australian Open. While Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk and Dayana Yastremska made it to the second round.
The Australian Open 2025 main draw matches will be held from January 12 to 26. The current champion of the tournament is Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, who is playing in a neutral status due to the full-scale war of Russian occupiers against Ukraine.
Recall that in the singles tournament of the Australian Open 2024, the best result among Ukrainian tennis players was shown by Yastremska, who reached the semifinals, where she lost to Chinese Zheng Qinwen.
