The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council, Lieutenant Andriy Kovalenko, commented on the night strike on the oil depot near the Engels airbase.

The head of the Central Control Center said on the national telethon that the occupiers stored fuel for Tu aircraft at the oil depot near the Engels airfield in the Saratov region, which carry out combat sorties from this airbase to strike Ukraine, the NBN publication reports.
According to him, the occupiers have been preparing a strategy for attacks on our country's infrastructure facilities, in particular energy ones, since the summer. Therefore, the Russians created stocks of missiles and fuel for combat and training sorties of strategic aviation at the airfields, calculated for the entire winter.
Kovalenko believes that this oil depot is key for the enemy. This facility had already been hit earlier, the strike was accompanied by a large-scale fire that could not be extinguished for five days.
Today's night attack also caused a fire that should destroy the occupiers' fuel. In a few days, satellite images will show how many storage facilities and tanks are burning on the territory of the oil depot, then it will be possible to assess the damage to the Russian Federation.
Recall that on January 13, a fire broke out in the building of a military hospital in the center of Tula.
