The White-Blues made a bright comeback and won the first point in the main round of the European Cup.
Kiev “Dynamo” played a draw with Turkish “Galatasaray” in the match of the seventh round of the main stage of the Europa League season-2024/25. The match at the stadium “Ali Sami Yen” in Istanbul ended with a score of 3:3.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 6th minute of the match – Davinson Sanchez headed in a corner kick by Driss Mertens.
In the 21st minute, the Turkish club increased its advantage – Abdulkerim Bardakci shot from afar, and the ball ricocheted off Oleksandr Tymchyk and ended up in Ruslan Neshcheret’s goal.
Before the break, the Kyiv team reduced the gap. In the 45th minute, Vitaliy Buyalskyy passed the ball from the right flank to the Vladislav Vanat, and he got around Fernando Muslera and pushed the ball into the net.
At the start of the second half, Dynamo conceded a third goal – a penalty kick in the 53rd minute was converted by Viktor Osimhen. It is interesting that the referee first sent off the player of the Turkish club Barysh Yilmaz, showing him a second yellow card for a handball in the penalty area of the Kyiv team. But then the referee watched the video replay (VAR) and reversed his decision. Instead, he awarded a penalty against the Ukrainian team for a foul by Tymchyk.
In the 68th minute, Dynamo again reduced the deficit in the score – Andriy Yarmolenko finished off a corner kick from Oleksandr Pikhalyonok at the far post.
In the 81st minute, the Kyiv team equalized the score – Yarmolenko scored a double, heading in a cross from Buyalsky from the right flank. So the fight ended in a draw.
