Artem Tyshchenko showed the best result among Ukrainians.
On Friday, January 31, the men's sprint race was held at the 2025 European Biathlon Championships in Martel Val Martello, Italy.
Ukraine was represented by five biathletes: Bohdan Tsymbal, Artem Tyshchenko, Denys Nasyko, Ruslan Tkalenko and Roman Borovyk.
The best result among the Ukrainians was shown by Tyshchenko, who took 20th place with clean shooting. Tsymbal also finished in the top 40, finishing 34th with one miss.
The European Champion in biathlon in the sprint was Norwegian Sivert Guttorm Bakken. His compatriot Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen won the silver, and Austrian Fredrik Mühlbacher won the bronze.

We will add that earlier today at the 2025 European Biathlon Championships, a women's sprint took place, where the best result among Ukrainians was shown by Oleksandra Merkushyna, who took 12th place.
The next races of the continental championship – women's and men's pursuits – will be held on Saturday, February 1.
The European Biathlon Championships will end on Sunday, February 2, with classic relays.
