The Citizens achieved a comeback victory over Plymouth.
Manchester City beat Plymouth in the 2024/25 FA Cup Round of 16 match. The match at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester ended with a score of 3:1 .
The Championship club (the second most prestigious English division – ed.) opened the scoring in the 38th minute – Ukrainian defender Maksym Taloverov headed in a corner kick.
For the 24-year-old Ukrainian, this is the second goal for Plymouth, to which he moved in the winter from Austrian LASK. Earlier, Taloverov scored in the Championship match against Luton.
However, Josep Guardiola's team managed to turn the tide of the match. Nico O'Reilly scored twice, scoring in the 45+1 and 76th minutes. Kevin De Bruyne put the finishing touches on the 90th minute.
It should be noted that Taloverov played the full match on the field, for which he received one of the highest ratings among the players on his team.
