Lyon defeated Lille in a home match of the 28th round of the French championship – 2:1.
Already in the 1st minute, Bafodé Diakite put the Doges ahead. Lyon equalized before the break – 33-year-old Alexandre Lacazette converted a penalty.
Midway through the second half, Ryan Cherki scored the Weavers' second goal of the match. Lille failed to find an opportunity to equalize the score until the end of the match.
Lyon have 48 points and moved up to fourth place in Ligue 1, one point ahead of Lille, which has dropped to sixth place.
Lyon host Manchester United in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final on April 10 and travel to Auxerre in Ligue 1 on the 13th. Lille travel to Toulouse on April 12.
