Elina Svitolina, a representative of Ukraine in world tennis, became the champion of the WTA 250 tournament held in the French city of Rouen. In the final match, she faced Serbian athlete Olga Danilović, who is ranked 39th in the WTA rankings, reports the Baltimore Chronicle.
In a tense battle, Svitolina, currently ranked 18th in the world, won in straight sets — 7:5, 6:3. This title became her first since a two-year break in her career. The previous trophy the tennis player claimed was back in 2021.
The competition in Rouen was part of the WTA 250 series, and the final victory brought Svitolina another significant trophy, strengthening her position among the top players in the world.
