Ukraine’s U-21 national football team secured its first victory at the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, rising to second place in Group D after two rounds, reports Baltimore Chronicle.
In their opening match of the tournament, Unai Melgosa’s squad suffered a narrow 3–2 defeat against their Danish peers. However, the young Ukrainian side bounced back in the second game of Euro 2025 by defeating Finland, significantly improving their position in the standings.
In the parallel fixture, Denmark claimed their second consecutive win of the tournament, ensuring early qualification for the playoff stage.
Ukraine will play its final group-stage match against the Netherlands on Wednesday, June 18. Kickoff is scheduled for 19:00 Kyiv time. A win or even a draw would be enough to guarantee the Ukrainian side a place in the next round of the competition.
