Chelsea failed with Mudryk in the 18th round of the Premier League – Sterling missed a crazy moment (video)

Mikhail came on as a substitute in the second half, but did not help the team save themselves from defeat.

Chelsea, led by Ukrainian winger Mikhail Mudryk, lost away to Wolverhampton in the 18th round match of the English Premier League (EPL) . The match at the Molineux stadium ended with a score of 2:1 .

The first half of the meeting passed without goals. Mauricio Pochettino's men attacked more, but failed to convert their chances.

The Blues had their best chance in the 32nd minute – Raheem Sterling took the ball from the Wolves defender and went on a date with the opposing goalkeeper. The Englishman could have passed to an empty net to Nicholas Jackson or Cole Palmer, but instead unsuccessfully shot at the goalkeeper.

At the beginning of the second half, Gary O'Neill's team punished the Londoners for such wastefulness. In the 51st minute, Mario Lemina headed in Pablo Sarabia's corner kick.

The Chelsea players tried to come back, but in stoppage time they conceded for the second time – in the 90th + 3rd minute, Blues defender Benoit Badiashile interrupted the Wolves' cross, and Matt Doherty sent the ball into the goal.

In the 90+6th minute, the visitors reduced the gap in the score – Christopher Nkunku headed into the corner after Sterling's cross from the right flank. However, the “blues” were no longer enough for more.

Note that Mudryk started the match on the bench and entered the field in the 59th minute, replacing Armando Brou. The Ukrainian failed to help his team at least avoid defeat.

In the next round, Mudryk’s team will host Crystal Palace on December 27, and the Wolves will play away on the same day against Ukrainian Egor Yarmolyuk’s Brentford.
