On May 12, the Ukrainian and the Australian will fight for the vacant IBF lightweight title weight.
The promotion company Top Rank presented a vivid promo video of the upcoming fight between the former world champion in three divisions Vasiliy Lomachenko and the former absolute champion lightweight champion George Kambosos.
The video includes the best moments of previous fights involving both boxers.
“Legend versus warrior,” the promo was signed on the Top Rank pages on social networks.
Next to the word “legend” is the flag of Ukraine, and next to the word “warrior” is the Australian flag.

The Lomachenko-Kambosos fight will take place on May 12 in the Australian city of Perth. The vacant IBF lightweight title will be on the line.
Lomachenko – Kambosos: recent fights and track record
Lomachenko last entered the ring on the night of May 21, 2023, when he lost by unanimous decision to American Devin Haney in fight for the title of absolute world lightweight champion.
At the end of November, Haney decided to change the weight category and vacated all the main lightweight championship belts – WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO.
Kambosos, in his last fight in July 2023, defeated Briton Maxie Hughes to win the IBO minor lightweight title. Before this, the Australian suffered two consecutive defeats from Haney, losing the title of absolute world champion, which he won in November 2021 with a victory over American Teofimo Lopez.
In total, 36-year-old Lomachenko has 17 victories (11 by knockout) and 3 defeats in the professional ring. The 30-year-old Kambosos has a track record of 21 wins (10 by knockout) and 2 defeats.
It was previously reported that bookmakers had identified the favorite for the Lomachenko-Kambosos fight.
