The victory for the Cherkassy club was brought by a goal from Alexey Khoblenko.
LNZ beat Veres in the match of the 24th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The match at the Central Stadium in Cherkassy ended with the score 1:0.
The hosts scored the only goal in this meeting at the beginning of the second half. In the 48th minute, Alexey Khoblenko struck a scoring shot after Gennady Pasich's cross.
Note that the start of the second half had to be postponed for a while due to an air attack alarm.
Review of the match LNZ – ”Veres”
LNZ interrupted a long winless streak of five matches in the Ukrainian Championship. Before this, the last time the Cherkassy team defeated Polissya (1:0) was on March 1.
The victory allowed LNZ (29 points) to secure ninth place in the UPL. “Veres” (19 points) remained in 13th position in the zone of transition matches for maintaining registration in the elite division.
In the next round, Oleg Dulub’s team will play away against “Alexandria” on April 21, and the Rivne club on the same day will host “Dnepr-1”.
