International Federation tennis (ITF) has decided to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics in Paris in a neutral status.

This is reported on the official ITF website.

It is noted that permission to compete at the Olympics and Paralympics will be granted to tennis players who meet the conditions of neutrality defined by the International Olympic and Paralympic Committees.

“Neutral athletes will be required to meet the selection and eligibility requirements set out in the relevant ITF Regulations.

The ITF's decision is in consultation with the majority of international federations for the individual events and athletes who will compete at the 2024 Games in Paris this summer. The ITF's position is also consistent with the current international tennis policy adopted in March 2022,” the organization said.

The Summer Olympic Games in Paris will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024. The Paralympic Games in the French capital will continue from August 28 to September 8, 2024.
