The Ukrainian champion tried to stop conflict between the parties.

Details have emerged of a fightbetween the teams of world champion WBO, WBA, IBO and IBFAlexander Usik and WBC title holder Tyson Fury, which took place on May 13 in Saudi Arabia.

The published video shows that the Ukrainian boxer was giving an interview to the British television channel Sky Sports when Fury's team approached him and began to interfere with their loud shouts.

Both teams began shouting the names of their boxers. Usyk tried to intervene and calm passions, urging the participants in the brawl to wait until Saturday, when his fight with Fury actually takes place.

“Step back, we will do it all on Saturday,” Alexander shouted.

Note that Fury’s father hit a member of Usik’s team, causing his head to bleed. Shortly after the “bloody” clash, Fury Sr. made a statement, apologizing for his behavior.

The Usyk-Fury fight will take place on May 18 in Riyadh. The fight was initially scheduled for February 17, but due to an injury the Briton received during one of the sparrings, it had to be postponed.

The winner of the Usyk-Fury fight will become the first absolute champion world heavyweight division in the 21st century.

The last “absolute” in the heavyweight division was Lennox Lewis, who won this status in 1999 when he defeated Evander Holyfield. Then the WBA, WBC and IBF titles were at stake. The WBO belt was recognized as equal in 2007, so the winner of the fight between Usyk and Fury will become the first “absolute” heavyweight in history with four major titles.

It was previously reported that the winner of the fight between Usyk and Fury will be deprived of one of the championship belts.
