 Svitolina continues to rise : WTA has updated the ranking of the best tennis players in the world

Elina has improved her position by three positions and is now in 17th place.

Women's Tennis Association ( WTA) has updated the ranking of the best female tennis players in the world based on the results of the tournaments that took place last week. In it, the first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina takes 17th place.

The 29-year-old native of Odessa has risen by three positions compared to the previous ranking. At the recent WTA 1000 tournament in Dubai (UAE), she stopped one step away from the quarterfinals, losingthe first racket of the world, Poland's Iga Szwiatek.

Other Ukrainian tennis players Dayana Yastremska, Marta Kostyuk, Angelina Kalinina and Lesya Tsurenko fell several steps.

Szwiatek remains the first racket of the world. The second place is taken by Belarusian Arina Sabalenka, who, due to the war in Ukraine, competes only in a neutral status. The top 3 is completed by American Cori Gauff.
