Ukrainian gymnasts beat the British in the fight for victory.
The Ukrainian national teamwon gold in the team all-around at the 2024 European Championships in artistic gymnastics, which took place in Rimini, Italy.
The Ukrainian team in this type of program was represented by Ilya Kovtun, Oleg Vernyaev, Nazar Chepurny, Igor Radivilov and Radomir Stelmakh.
The “blue-yellows” scored 255.762 points and were ahead of Great Britain in the fight for victory (255.429 points), which won silver. Italy became the bronze medalist (252,560 points).
For the Ukrainian team, this is the second gold medal in history at the European Championships in the team all-around. In 2020, the Ukrainians also became champions.
Thus, the Ukrainian team completed its performance at the European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships with five awards. Previously, Oleg Vernyaevwon silver in the all-around, Nazar Chepurnywon bronze in the vault, and Ilya Kovtun won two gold medals – on parallel bars and high bar exercises.
By the way, from May 2 to 5, the women's continental championship in artistic gymnastics will be held in Rimini.
