The Ukrainian national teamwon the second medal at the European Championships 2024 in artistic gymnastics, which takes place in Rimini, Italy. Nazar Chepurny became the bronze medalist in the vault.
The 21-year-old Ukrainian took third place with a score of 14.749 points.
The British Jake became the European champion in the vault. German (14,883 points), and the silver medal was won by Artur Davtyan from Armenia (14,850 points).
Another Ukrainian Igor Radivilov became fourth, scoring 14,000 points.
For Chepurny this is the first career medal at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Previously, he won “bronze” in the vault at the 2023 World Championships.
Chepurny’s medal is the second for Ukraine at Euro 2024 in artistic gymnastics. The first award for our country was brought by Oleg Vernyaev, who won silver in the all-around.
The European Men's Championship in Rimini will last until April 28. And from May 2 to May 5, the women's continental championship in artistic gymnastics will take place.
Recall that the previous Euro 2023 in artistic gymnastics, where men and women competed, the Ukrainian team finished with four awards (one gold ” and three “bronzes”), taking fifth place in the medal standings.
