This night, while repelling another air attack by Russian invaders using attack drones of the “Shahed” type, 7 enemy UAVs were destroyed by the air defense forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The military noted that in total, the Russians recorded the launch of 8 kamikaze drones.

“On the night of December 28, 2023, Russian occupiers attacked eight Shahed-type UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region of the Russian Federation,” the message says.

The Armed Forces also clarified that 7 enemy drones were shot down by fighter aircraft, air defense units, and mobile fire groups within three regions, namely in Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd and Zaporozhye.

On the night of December 28, the Russian occupiers once again attacked the territory of Ukraine with Shahed-type attack drones. The command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the movement of hostile UAVs, in particular, in the Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd and Cherkasy regions.

An air raid alert was announced in the regions. The military announced the end of the threat of enemy attacks using Shaheds at about 04:20.

Also, around eleven in the evening on Wednesday, explosions were heard in Zaporozhye, it was reported that air defense was operating and several enemy drones were shot down.
