Designers of Hyundai's premium sub-brand Genesis have transformed the G90 sedan into a coupe and convertible. Two concepts based on the flagship G90, the X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible, developed by the Genesis Design division, debuted at the Seoul Motor Show.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Genesis press service.
The company describes the projects as “reimagining luxury and performance” and emphasizes that they “open a new chapter in the Genesis story.”
The coupe and convertible differ from the standard G90 sedan by a larger angle of inclination of the front pillars and windshield. Accordingly, their roof line is lower. At the same time, the doors were made wider to facilitate access to the cabin. The design of the rear bumper was also changed – it was made smoother.
The exterior color and interior trim of the X Gran Coupe Concept are inspired by Mediterranean olive trees – the interior features decorative veneer inserts, and the leaf motif is present even on the floor mats. The X Gran Convertible Coupe, in turn, is painted in the color of pressed grapes, and its interior conveys the rich shade of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety from the Italian region of Livorno.
Among the interesting solutions in the interior, we can highlight the seat belts integrated into the seats and the built-in displays for passengers in the second row.
