American private military companies could be deployed in Ukraine as part of a potential long-term peace agreement. According to British media, this initiative is reportedly backed by U.S. President Donald Trump, reports Baltimore Chronicle citing The Telegraph.

The outlet notes that Trump has been holding talks with European allies about allowing U.S. private military contractors to take part in strengthening Ukraine’s defenses. Their tasks would include building fortifications, setting up bases, and supporting infrastructure aimed at safeguarding American interests.

This approach is being considered as an alternative after Trump promised that regular U.S. troops would not be stationed in Ukraine.

According to the plan, American PMCs could be involved in frontline reconstruction, including restoring defensive structures and providing security for U.S. businesses. Their presence would also serve as a deterrent, reducing the likelihood of Vladimir Putin violating a final ceasefire agreement.
