A Chinese telecommunications giant has unveiled a revolutionary technology—10G Internet—making China the first country to roll out this ultra-high-speed mobile network. The launch took place in mid-April 2025 in Zhejiang Province. The new standard represents a significant leap forward compared to the previous 5G, offering data transmission speeds many times higher, reports the Baltimore Chronicle, citing the Mydrivers.

The technology is based on cutting-edge developments in the field of mobile networks. During testing, 10G Internet demonstrated record speeds of over 100 Gbps, unlocking new possibilities for broadband communication, the expansion of the Internet of Things, and the deployment of applications in virtual and augmented reality.

For now, the technology is available only in select regions, but the Chinese company plans to expand its coverage, aiming to launch 10G nationwide in the coming years. This also lays the groundwork for the continued evolution of 5G and 6G technologies, opening up further opportunities for mobile devices, vehicles, and smart cities.

This launch marks a significant milestone in the global advancement of mobile Internet, with China maintaining its position as a leader in the development of advanced communication technologies.
