The government this year will begin reconstruction and modernization projects of at least 100 hospitals and plans to create at least 30 mental health centers in cluster hospitals.
About Prime Minister Denis Shmihal said this during a government meeting, Ukrinform reports.
“We continue medical reform. Rehabilitation and psychological care are new emphasis. We plan to create at least 30 mental health centers in cluster hospitals. We will begin reconstruction and modernization projects of at least 100 of our hospitals, Shmigal said.
He noted that healthcare costs in 2024 will total UAH 239 billion, which is UAH 31 billion more than in last year.
As Ukrinform reported, over more than 23 months of war in Ukraine, 1,523 medical facilities were damaged and another 195 were destroyed to the ground.
