“In Ukraine today the level of prosthetics is perhaps one of the best in the world. This is exactly the case when this area is in demand and therefore has supply. More and more new manufacturers are coming… Because a prosthesis is like a machine: you need to constantly have equipment that will service it for you,” Soloshenko said.
According to her, now many people are experiencing mine explosion injuries or injuries that can lead to serious consequences, including amputation of limbs. But even after amputation, people can live a full life.
In this regard, Soloshenko remembered the serviceman Vadim Sviridenko, who lost all his limbs in Debaltsevo when he spent four days in the cold.
«This The person is now the Presidential Commissioner for Rehabilitation. He runs marathons, signs all official documents himself, he has a child, he has a happy family,” she said.
Soloshenko noted that the website of the Ministry of Social Policy has detailed information about what is needed to get free prosthetics in Ukraine.
