Over the past two years, Ukraine has received humanitarian assistance in the form of telemedicine solutions worth more than $4 million.
The Ministry of Health reports this, Ukrinform reports.
“Today, the total cost of assistance provided in the area of telemedicine exceeds four million dollars. This amount includes the cost of devices and equipment, software, licenses for use, etc., which are actively being integrated into Ukrainian healthcare institutions,” the message says.
As noted by the Ministry of Health, six pilot projects for the provision of medical care using humanitarian telemedicine solutions are currently being implemented in Ukraine, including – teleconsultation system with the effect of virtual presence “Teladoc Solo platform”, neurosensory rehabilitation platform “Rehabilitation Gaming System”, virtual operation “Epiqar”, remote control program monitoring of the fetus “System Carebits”, a system for diagnosing the brain with congestion of piece intelligence ” ;Brainscan etc.
According to the ministry, during this time, about 400 institutions and at least 1,700 medical specialists have already been involved in the use of telemedicine solutions. And the total number of consultations conducted today is more than 13 thousand.
«The solutions have already been integrated into the work of medical institutions and provide telemedicine consultations on explosion injuries, burn injuries, and will also form a unified advisory network in the future,” – the message says.
The geography of coverage of telemedicine solutions already covers 21 regions of the country. Solutions are located not only in regional centers or cities of regional significance, but also in remote settlements, including front-line ones, where access to medical institutions is limited, complicated, and sometimes dangerous.
As Ukrinform reported, According to the Ministry of Health, at the beginning of 2024, telemedicine platforms were installed in 30 healthcare institutions, with the help of which patients can independently conduct such basic examinations as: measuring body temperature, blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation, performing an ECG, etc.
