Photo Under the chairmanship of the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko, a meeting was held with the participation of representatives of the National Health Service regarding the readiness of the National Children's Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdet” to work under the Medical Guarantee Program.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health, Ukrinform reports.
“All medical institutions, without exception, must enter the single medical space of Ukraine and work under the Medical Guarantee Program. We understand all the difficulties of this process in the context of an ongoing full-scale war, but we have to move in this direction step by step. After all, this is a solution that significantly improves the availability of high-quality free medical care for the patient,” said Lyashko.
He assured of openness to dialogue with medical institutions, readiness to help in order to maintain the effectiveness of a particular institution, and take it into account features.
Lyashko recalled that in Okhmatdyt – the country's largest children's hospital – Every year they perform more than 10 thousand operations and provide consultations to more than 270 thousand children. Over the past two years, the hospital has undergone a significant stage of improvement: the most modern equipment has been supplied, highly qualified doctors regularly undergo training and internships abroad, and the Center for Orphan Diseases has opened. July 1 of this year and the transition to work under the Medical Guarantee Program from January 1, 2025.
The meeting participants discussed the financial and economic plan of Okhmatdyt as part of the transition to financing under the Medical Guarantees Program, as well as a number of debatable issues of personnel and logistics support to meet the requirements of contracting with the NHSU.
In addition, attention was paid to tariffs for unique highly specialized medical services, which currently do not fall under existing medical service packages, but are successfully provided at Okhmatdyt.
