This was reported by the Ministry of Health, Ukrinform reports.

“The European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine, in partnership with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, distributed six specialized vehicles to medical institutions with which agreements have been concluded to provide palliative care. The initiative seeks to facilitate access to palliative care for patients and their families, especially in remote areas, by providing them with comfortable and safe transportation to medical facilities,” the statement said.

The Ministry of Health noted that the cars will be received in Nizhyn, Chernihiv region; Konotop and Romny, Sumy region; Kamenskoye, Dnepropetrovsk region; Mirgorod in Poltava region; New Vodolaga, Kharkov region.

The vehicles are equipped with lifts for patients with disabilities, as well as wheelchairs and other auxiliary equipment.

The vehicles were purchased and equipped by UNDP in Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Health with financial support from the European Union within the framework of the project “EU4Recovery – empowering communities in Ukraine” (EU4Recovery).

As reported, Uber donated 1 to Ukraine through the fundraising platform United24 million dollars for emergency medical vehicles.
