Nazariy Rusin became the first Ukrainian to score in 2024.
Ukrainian forward of “Sunderland” Nazariy Rusin scored a goal in the match of the 26th round of the Championship (England’s second highest division – approx.) against Preston.
The 25-year-old Ukrainian entered the starting line-up of the “black cats” and doubled his team’s lead in the 44th minute.
Rusin played ahead of the curve after Jack Clarke's solo pass and from outside the penalty area he sent the ball into the opponent's goal.
So happy for Rusyn to break his goal duct and get his Sunderland career underway!
Given a start by Beale today and he will decide manager's faith!
The first of many!
