This decision was made in order to reduce the financial burden on farms.
Farmers of Ukraine working in frontline zones will be able to count on state assistance.
This is stated on the government portal.
The government will provide subsidies to agricultural producers working in areas where hostilities are possible or are already underway.
“We understand how difficult it is to sow and harvest crops on these lands and in these communities, so we will support our people who work there,” Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized.
The subsidy is provided for each hectare of cultivated land sown or planted with agricultural crops for the current year's harvest.
The amount of payments for farmers will depend on how close their lands are to the line of military conflict:
- possible military action — 1000 UAH
- active military action — 2000 UAH
