Ukrainians' pensions will consist of two parts after calculation.
The calculation of pensions may change in Ukraine. The system will take into account only two criteria – the number of years worked and the number of contributions that a person paid monthly.
This was announced by the Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to her, the Ukrainian pension system provides for several components:
- solidarity
- mandatory savings
- voluntary savings
It is also planned to introduce a professional savings system.
“Today's system has been subject to many changes. And therefore, calculating pensions has become more complicated. Now it contains a lot of additions and additions, for example, an addition to the subsistence minimum, an addition for length of service, etc. are taken into account. People are forced to go to specialists to calculate their pension, because it is almost impossible to do it yourself. And we want to simplify this mechanism,” Zholnovich said.
She emphasized that from now on, a system is being designed that will take into account only two criteria:
- number of years worked
- the number of contributions a person paid monthly
As a result, this will be converted into a certain number of points. In this case, the cost of one point will be equal to 30% of the average salary in a given year. Therefore, a person who worked for 35 years and received an average salary every month as it was at that time, can expect at least 30% of his earnings in the solidarity pension system.
“In addition, we are providing a guarantee – if you have worked for at least 15 years and entered the pension system, then you definitely have the right to 30% of the minimum wage that year,” she added.
Recall that pensions of Ukrainians are increasing due to recalculations and indexations. However, in August, payments will be increased by calculating special allowances.
